[BEAUTY EVENT] - MAKEOVER FAB WEEK x BEAUTYNESIA

Halo girls! Tebak-tebakan yuk! Brand lokal Indonesia yang ciri khasnya punya packaging yang elegant berwarna hitam dan logo yang classy simple berwarna hitam-putih? Yap, bener! Make Over pastinya :D

Nah terkait dengan brand dari PT. Paragon Indonesia ini, jadi kemarin ini aku dapet invitation dari Beautynesia untuk datang ke event Make Over FAB Week dari Beautynesia di tanggal 3 Oktober kemarin. Nah kalau event Fashion Art Beauty a.k.a Makeover FAB Week nya, yang berlokasi di Central Park Mall ini, sudah berlangsung dari tanggal 1-7 Oktober 2018.

Ada sekitar 25 Beautynesia bloggers yang hadir di tanggal 3 kemarin. Intip yuk, apa aja kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh kita semua di Make Over Fashion Art Beauty Week ini! ;)

  

Jadi pertama-tama setelah registrasi, para bloggers diperbolehkan memilih tempat duduknya sendiri di antara 2 meja panjang yang udah disediakan. Di depan kursi kita masing-masing sudah disediakan semua produk Make Over lengkap untuk kita liat-liat, swatch, bahkan coba-coba sendiri sebelum acara berlangsung. Ga lupa juga ada kaca untuk masing-masing peserta, seru banget kann!

Nah, ini dia benefit yang aku dapetin dari event ini gengs:

1. Nambah temen baru

Yes, pastinya! Siapa sih yang ga seneng bisa nambah temen-temen baru terutama dengan orang-orang yang ber-passion sama? ;) Dan ternyata, para bloggers yang datang ga cuma dari Jakarta loh, tapi juga dari luar Jakarta. Hihi.

2. Beauty Class

Yash, di sini kita diajarin untuk makeup oleh Kak Morin Iwashita (@hellomorin), dengan tema Blushy Look, which is makeup harus paling keliatan cetar blush on nya.

Jadi, di depan panggung udah ada 1 model yang dimakeup-in sama Kak Morin. Model ini di make-up dan selama makeup berlangsung, Kak Morin jelasin step-by-step nya untuk kita tiru sebisa mungkin sama dengan yang Kak Morin lakukan. Dari awal kita dibilangin kalo pemenangnya akan dapetin special hampers dari Make Over! Kita semua berlomba-lomba sebisa mungkin, meskipun jarak dari meja kita ke panggung tidak terlalu dekat.

Eits, tapi yang paling penting di Beauty Class ini bukan cuma keinginan untuk menang, sih. Tapi kita dapetin banyak banget ilmu dari Kak Morin, misalnya “Kalo pake blush on di atas pipi menimbulkan efek pipi jadi chubby. Cara untuk mengakalinya adalah dengan memakai blush on di area cheek bone tempat kita meletakkan contour, jadi efeknya malah lebih tirus.”

Setelah proses make-up Kak Morin di tas manggung selesai, Kak Morin turun dari panggung dan ngeliat langsung hasil makeup di wajah kita satu per satu yang mencoba sebisa mungkin untuk miripin makeupnya, dan aku belum menang. Tapi gapapa juga sih memang yang menang sangat passionate dalam meng-apply blush on nya ya, karna sangat stand out dibanding make up products yang lain, which is sesuai banget dengan tema Blushy Look ala Kak Morin ini.

Selesai dari event, kita lanjut ke sesi foto-foto bersama di atas panggung dan setelah itu kita dibagiin goodie bag dari make over. Yeay! Thank you Beautynesia and Make Over for having me! :)

[BEAUTY] - MAX UP COSMETICS - Kiss-Proof Matte Lip Cream

Matte lip creams have been the now-hype babies to collect right?!

So I've lately tried this local brand Lip Cream called Maxup Cosmetics and I think it's worth to try (and buy, if you love this kind of Lip Cream); just read the review below.

Okay so here is the reviewwwwwww! (with the strains of tone like in the Youtube lol :p)

THE PACKAGING

As you can see, the packaging's material is clear-acrylic so that it eases you to see the shade of the lipcream, and then the silver touch gives an elegant look (from my point of view)

THE TEXTURE

For me the texture is quite nice, I mean it is comfortable to wear as it doesn't feel sticky at all. And I kinda love it because I found that it's not causing my (dry) lips to get drier even though the finish is super-matte. However, I kinda feel like the Cherry-O (Red) color has that kind of texture that is quite hard to blend (idk why) compared to the other 3 shades, as I found no difficulties for those 3 shades, imho.

ABOUT MAXUP LIP CREAN

Anyway, this lip cream is suitable for everyone. Here is why:

1. Halal

It's great right? Everyone can wear it. You don't need to worry about anything anymore.

2. Kiss Proof

Yup it really is!!

After 3-5 minutes of applying, you can test it by trying to blot it to tissue or to your dorsal surface (back of the hand) or any other media. Taa daa! Nothing, really nothing is transferred. Who is kiss-proof lip cream lovers? Raise your hand!

3. Paraben & Phthalates Free

Although from some resources I heard that not all paraben types are harmful to our health and it is okay as long as it's still in the right amount, but preventing it will always be better right? Because we will never know. And with the claim that they don't use any paraben, it sure feels safer.

And.. 

Maxup Lip Cream also claims that their products doesn't contain any Phthalates. So it's basically super safe.

(Anyway, Do you know Phthalates?

Phthalates is the chemical used to soften plastic materials.. Isn't that crazy f there is any of it in the lip products that we use? Ohmyy!)

THE SHADES

They currently have 4 shades:

Here is how I look for each shade:

Afternoon Tea and Dusty Rose will look similar at the first glance but after applying it on the lips you'll just know that the Afternoon Tea is more to brown and the Dusty Rose has kind of pink shade on it.

Overall, this is such another great product to try! If you are a lip cream lover and currently looking for a kiss-proof one with matte finish, I think you could go buy this. I give it 8/10 for Afternoon Tea, Dusty Rose and Smashing Pink, and 7/10 for Cherry-O (based on my explanation above).

And one more extra information, I REALLY LOVE THE SMELL! It smells like milk biscuits or something like that, making me feel like wanting to smell it over and over again :")

[BEAUTY] - BENEFIT - THE POREfessional Primer & Roller Lash Mascara

Continue from the previous blog,

I got this mini goodie bag from the event, and here are 2 of the products that I got: Pore-fessional Face Primer and Roller Lash Mascara.

1. THE PORE-fessional Face Primer
Benefit THE PORE-fessional is a face primer which functions to minimize the pore appearance on your skin. No woner the skin will look flawless and matte. Anyway, this also helps making your whole makeup lasts longer.
Fyi, this is also the best seller product from Benefit as it is suitable for all skin types (that's why it works well on almost everyone).

Note:
This is not a skin care that functions to minimize the pore permanently, yet this is a makeup product that could instantly minimize it (temporarily; just as long as it is there and you haven't wash off your face).

The Packaging










The packaging is tube with a twist cap, it makes it tightly closed (which is nice). And I like the material of the tube too! The printing isn't easily fade out and the glossy-silver color makes it look palatial.

The Texture

The primer is aqua blue in color and the texture is gentle and you can feel that it is matte as it not sticky at all. And it feels light.

The Product's Function (to me)


This primer could keep my makeup staying matte all day. After applying all skin care products, and for example if I finish applying the whole make-up at 10 am, it will keep my skin still matte till around 5 to 6 pm (7-8 hours on a combination skin like mine). But after that it still won't look really greasy nor oily even when it's already at night. This is just the new holy-grail of mine! I always use this whenever I'm going out to any events. I give 9/10 for this primer!


2. Roller Lash Mascara
This roller lash mascara is claimed as the solution for stubborn Asian lashes. I am Asian, that's why my eyelashes isn't long and ya, they are also stubborn. The texture are quite hard and it does droop. So let's just move on to the review.

The Packaging

Here are the ingredients (hope you can read well as I tried to make it focus but it's still not working, I think because of the font is kind of too tight)





Overall, about the packaging, I really love it! It's packed in a twist cap bottle and the combination of black and rose gold color is really pretty and is not getting easily dirty as the material is glossy. It is also light and quite small (easy to carry).

2. The Product's Function (to me)
I like the shape of the spoolie, it is really great to create the curl shape of your eyelash, and it works on my eyelashes, that my eyelashes could instantly get longer! However, it is still in reasonable length (I mean it won't be like 2 or 3 times from its original length).

I give the mascara 7.5/10. Why? Because it is actually great, I like how it can curl my eyelash and it is easy to remove (as it is non-waterproof; I mean, that's the benefit of non-waterproof makeup). But it is not that perfect as it doesn't really lift my eyelashes up (you can see at the images).

But back again, it is based on my type of eyelashes. You can just try this Roller Lash Mascara if you have other type of lashes or if only you are curious enough to prove it.

[BEAUTY] - BENEFIT - Bene Pro 2018 Event

Sometimes people get over excited about the stuffs they got until they love it too much they’re waiting for the best time to open it! Until they actually forgot (haha, lebay ya).

But here I am, sometimes I got stuffs and I feel like “Oh nanti aja deh bukanya, sayang juga kalo udah dibuka kan paling cuma 12 months masa berlakunya.”

Including this! Haha so I got some stuffs (I can say some great stuffs) from Benefit and I love it way too much! But before we move on to the product review, let’s take a glimpse about this event held on August 2^nd.

The event is called Bene Pro Event. This is basically an annual competition amongst all Benefit makeup artists in Sephora Indonesia. Benefit is claimed as an instant beauty solution so that the makeup artists should be able to do the make-up to their clients (with all different skin types) perfectly and in an effective duration.

In Bene Pro Event 2018, each MUA got 1 influencer that they have to make over, also, they got picked about 1 theme from the 3 makeup themes in Bene Pro 2018: ‘metallic, deep drama, or glass skin’.

The assessment is based on the look itself, the technique they used, and also whether the makeup look (including hair and outfit also) matches the theme that the finalists got or not.

Dress from Posh The Label

It was a great event overall! I was truly amazed witnessing how great the make up artists are, how they could out the make-ups flawlessly to the influencers' skin even that they just met the influencers the previous day before the event. Amazing!

The last but not least, I found out that Benefit Makeup products are really great and can be used for any other function beside the main function themselves. For example, you can use the eyeshadow as the eye makeup base, the lip products as blush on, and etc (makeup should have no limitation, right?). And also, the makeup artists in Sephora are really the professional ones, they know exactly how to treat people's different skin types!

[BEAUTY] - RAN COSMETIC - One Brand Review + Video Tutorial

Smooth and poreless skin, feeling the most beautiful version of yourself, who wouldn't want that? So, without any further due, let’s move on to this shocking thing. You’ll just know why.

 

IT IS THE PACKAGE FROM RAN COSMETIC INDONESIA! Founded by a well-known, prodigious Thai MUA named Nong Chat, Ran Cosmetic products are just indescribable! As perfect as Nong Chat’s makeup result. So The @ran_cosmetic_indonesia is basically the sole distributor of Ran Cosmetic.

So without any further due, let’s start the list:

1. AMBER – Heaven on Earth Serum

Global Anti Aging

As the name implies, this Amber Serum is really like heaven-on-earth. My skin sometimes went dry (and becomes drier everytime I’m lazy to use skin care lol). The biggest impact is that the makeup artists can hardly find the right foundation for me as matte thingies make my skin got crack and of course nobody would want that.

And as Ran products are mostly full coverage and soft matte, of course I was a little bit curious if the makeup is ‘secure’ for my skin. And it really is! Especially when it is supported by using this serum before the makeup. This is really moist, but not that kind of moist that really heavy and sticky. This really feels comfortable.

One thing about it, the color of the serum itself is yellow, I doubted that at the very first place, worried that my skin would get yellowish, yet it’s not. The color is just blended with my skin color.

(By the way I also use this for other makeup and it is like your life saver for matte makeup if your skin type is dry as it balances the moisture of your skin.

2. RAN – Water Magnet Base (Gel Base)

The color is clear (as you can see here) and I like the texture. It is quite moist and if you use this, it makes your entire make up last longer (till 18 hours). When I did my makeup at 10am my makeup is still very nice and I didn’t need to touch up (just use oil absorbing sheets on my T-zone if it’s getting oily). By the way, it has a very soft smell that you won’t deny, more like flowers scent, perhaps?

3. RAN – Retouch Skin Foundation

Start from the packaging, I really like it, it is made from acrylic so that it feels firm. You can easily pump it and get the foundation. I like the scent, is more like floral but in a very least level (very soft).

Move to the foundation itself, the texture is soft and it doesn’t feel too creamy, also not that heavy. The coverage? No doubt. It is really full coverage type of foundation that could cover up your pores and acne scars. I usually use like 2-3 pumps and it is more than enough.

The finish is satin touch and smooth natural, like the naturally perfect version of your skin! Haha. I just love how my face looks after applying this foundation. And also, as my skin is sensitive, I’m really grateful that this product doesn’t cause any damage to my skin. It’s safe for you girls who also have sensitive skin! Haha

4. RAN – Retouch Powder (Anti Pollution)

If you follow @ran_cosmetic_indonesia, you’ll know how it is such like a holy grail. This is the newest type of their compact powder. It is high in coverage (same like the first version of the powder) but with waterproof feature! Isn’t that insane?

And then it’s also getting more insane that both their foundation and powder oxidizes in a different way, as you know, the oxidizing makeup usually makes the makeup gone darker. However, it is a completely different story with Ran Cosmetic. The oxidation makes your make up glowing and lighter at the end of the day! Too crazy and I proved it!

5. SIVANNA COLORS – Eyebrow Pencil

So I got this one also from @ran_cosmetic_indonesia. Yup, they don’t just sell Ran Cosmetic products but also other brands that they collaborate with. I got the NO-03 shade and it is more like dark ash brown. You can see the result at my photos below.

The texture is not creamy yet it is quite pigmented. To get soft color, don’t press too strong when applying. It also got a spoolie (on the other side) to blend the eyebrow color. Isn’t that complete?!

6. CONFIRM – Big Eye Pen Liner

I would’t explain about the packaging as it is already great. Let’s talk about the function of the product.

As on the package, this it really waterproof (and also oil proof!) and last for 24 hours and it is. The color is deep black which is super pigmented. The brush tip is quite small so although it’s quite hard to handle for a newbie, it is realty great to create wing liner! But.. this pen liner is easily gone dry T.T After some times of using, it is getting hard to apply. But after some time, the ink gets back again and is usable, sometimes it gets hard to apply again, and so on :”) I think you might need to shake it before use.
