Family is a family

Related to the previous post. Talking about family, especially the relation between you and your parents.

As a teenager we sometimes feel that our parents are captious, they prohibit us to do something we think is fun. "Why you can just understand me, Mom, Dad? Can't you just see me happy doing what I want? You can never understand me." Well, that sounds normal but, let's have some thoughts with me.

I write this, not because I never feel the same way, but I realize that our parents never have wrong purposes by prohibiting some things to us, it it is wrong, it's just about the way they communicate their care to us.

I used to think that my parents were so old-fashioned that they used to call me every minute when I was going out with my friends till late night. But nowadays I realize, that when it happened to my sister, I were too worried about her too, until I'm captious to her, telling her not to come back home late at night. So that doesn't mean that they don't wanna see you happy, but they care about you enough that they don't want anything bad happens to you.

Or another example, when you're in home and your parents ask you to help their duties, or get mad at you when seeing you doing nothing or just laying on your bed. They never mean to be angry, but you know what? First, they just want to make you more mature, someday you're gonna be an adult, you've gotta know what you're gonna do from now. When they ask you to help them, all they wanna do is to let you know that someday you'll be like them. You have to work for your family. All the parents think is that someday they will be gone, that you can not rely on them forever. So they want you to be prepared, for your own good.

There are so many more examples, but from now, let's think about positive things of what your parents do to you. And let's have a thought of this: "No matter how annoying your parents' doing to you, can you beat their pure love to you?" You may ever hate your parents, but they will never have an idea of hating you, believe that. All that they do to you is just to make you be a good person, a successful one someday. They don't want you to make mistakes they ever did when they were young like you, that sometimes they treat you hard.

“Parents are like God because you wanna know they're out there, and you want them to think well of you, but you really only call when you need something.”

And here is a touching video about family. Although this video doesn't have really great numbers of viewers, but this is such a great video to watch. Quite pleased to find this video. Just watch! :")

Sistership never dies

My favorite photo of the photoshoot

That was the first time I take my sister, Kerene Jesica with me to have a photoshoot together. Just thought of sisters photoshoot. And below are two of my most favorite photos of us. (Ignore our body differences, I know she's way far skinny compared to me. I wonder when can I be as skinny as you, sis? Lol)

By the way, talking about sisters. Are you in the same boat with me? That you're born as sisters?
So let's have a 'curcol' thing with me (lol).

I remember when we were little children. We didn't fight about toys, as my sis was a very tomboyish girl, which her favorite things were really different from mine. I liked dolls, Barbie and so other girly things, while Keren just liked sword, car, guitar, and other boy toys. But that doesn't mean that there was nothing that made us fight. I don't exactly remember one by one, but what I remember the most is just that I was a mischievous girl that I often made my lil sis cry. I don't know what I was thinking that time but making her cry is my favorite, I think that was cute to see her crying and after that I came to her, hugged her and said "Don't worry, I'm just kidding, sis. I love you." (which sounds "Udah jangan takut ya de, cece cuma bercanda kok, cece sayang deh sm dede, cupcup *sambildipeluk*). And she would just stop crying and smile to me. Cruel me lol.

There's no relationship as strong as the relationship between a family, like sisters for the example.
2 sisters may sometimes argue, or fight each other. Sometimes we decide not to talk for some time. But when one is really in need, don't you just help her, and forget all the fight? Or when you're in a quarrel with your sister, and by that time you interact with your girl best friends, don't you just think of "If I can forgive my friends mistakes and still treat them right after that, why can't I be like that to my sister?"

Friends can turn out being enemies, or even strangers, and that's still acceptable. But the relationship between a family.. could it stop? Never. A sister will always be your sister. Your dad will always be your dad, your mom, your brother, etc. No matter how you hate them, no matter you try not to talk to them anymore, they are still the ones who has made who you are now, the ones you grew up with. And you can never lose 'care' to them.

Be Happy Like a Little Girl

Have you ever seen a little girl run and then fell to the ground? Bruised knees, dirty palms. They would cry loudly, like it's the greatest pain ever exists. Their cheeks would be full of tears and turn red. But hey, give her a tight hug, wipe her tears. She might not stop crying, but at least she would feel better. And then give her a lollipop, the colorful one. A smile's created. She would suddenly be happy like she forgot all the pains she had had before. But remember, don't ever try to let her see the bruised knees anymore, as you should cover it with a band-aid. Pains disappear. Bad memories fadeaway.

So here is the lesson:
Be easy to be happy like a little girl. Be easy to move on from sorrows, or anything bad that might ever break you in the past. Forget it, but learn from it. Learn not to run too fast cause you may fall down. Learn what are the mistakes you had did that it caused some disadvantages. "You can't change the past, but you can learn from it and make a better future."

If you know me best

Hello readers, it's me again.
It's great to blog after about half year I've disappeared from blogger for about a half year. Some reasons are that I had some other things I did beside turning my laptop on, opening blogger and then posting something in it. But this month (read: my month) is gonna be the continued point of my blogging trip. Lol.

What I post here is one of my photoshoots taken months ago (which one of the photo actually has been my blogger background).

Girls are creatures with their feelings hidden.
A girl may look cheerful outside, seems like her life's perfect. A girl may smile all day long, like she has no worries in life. She cheers everyone around her, loves people with all of her heart, trying to lift up the ones who fall to the ground. But truth is she has sadness, too. Maybe she's been hurt much. Some things may break her, she just doesn't wanna show it. She's just trying to cheer herself by manipulating a happy look. She doesn't want others to feel what she feels by showing a sad face. But inside her room, when she's alone, she can't hide no more, she can't hide all that she feels to herself. Sometimes she cries in silence. But there's always a guy of this kind to a girl; that no matter how hard she tries to look happy, he always knows all the sorrows that she hides. He always tries to help her remove her sadness, and by his presence, he turns every sorrow into joy to her life. There's nothing more than this, that kind of guy is all that she needs in life.

New Year's Eve

It was the New Year's Eve. Below are the photos according to the time sequence.

The New Year event in Indo Alam Villa

I was so excited for every fireworks I captured :D

Captured the fireworks again.

My favorite cookie ever!
(There's the stand in TA on the 4th floor - or you can find it in some supermarkets)

Happy (Belated) New Year 2013 everyone!
There might be mistakes we regret doing, but one thing you have to remember, "It's always better that you've tried and you make mistakes, than you regret because you miss the chance to try".
So in this new year, stop the regrets, yet move on and learn from the mistakes, start doing the right thing you've known.

I think everyone must have ever launched fireworks, but do you know about the history of fireworks? I had never before, but I suddenly felt curious and I just searched about it on google. If you want to know about the history of fireworks, you can click here.

Oh Holy Day

There's no Sunday we can pass without the religious feeling in it. We decided to have a prayer at Lembah Karmel Church on December 30, 2012 while being in Puncak. It's a Catholic church but the praise and worship is just same like Christian ones (they use some musical instruments, the praise is rousing, and they use speaking-in-tongues, too) so I didn't feel awkward to pray there (cause I'm a real Christian).

It takes many stairs to get there. We just almost arrived to the building of the church.

The inside of the church

I forget the Pastor's name. but one thing I never forget, He's really great and also funny in preaching.

After the church's finished, we went to the Holy Water area, it's on the floor below the church bulding. The water is really clean that you can drink it, and actually it's specified for drinking, not for washing.

These 8 photos above were taken near the Holy Water area.

Then we had a walk around Lembah Karmel and took some photos before getting back to the car.

What beautiful clouds (:

The Batik family I found there. They looked unified!

The wind made my hair really messy.

Finally we went to the car. I took some photos from the windowpane near my seat. Some look blurry, but the real views were just really nice.

The bus that was behind our car.

It was a nice day overall. And there's a funny moment that day. After the prayer was finished, we decided to have just some snacks downstairs to eliminate our hunger a bit (of course everyone would get hungry after the church because the church's located on the highest floor and there's no lift or escalators that we have to walk to get there) before having our lunch at the restaurant far away from Lembah Karmel. But do you know what? First, we bought rabbit satay with lontong, but then we had fried snacks, boiled peanuts, cincau, nasi uduk, and also porridge. We ended up getting satiety and said: "What did we say? Snacks? Are these snacks?" Hahaha
